Today at Strands beach at around 4 o'clock the water looked pretty mellow but the wind was kicking up. It was a nice walk down the stairs where I passed several surfers in wetsuits on their way up. As I got closer to the water I saw several of dolphins swimming not to far from the surfers in the water.

The average water temp. for strands today was about 60 degrees
The air temperature was about 65 degrees
The sky was full of clouds and it looked like rain was coming.
The waves were very small and the water looked choppy and got choppier as the wind picked up.
The beach was pretty uninhabited except for some dedicated surfers and people walking and running on the beach.
It was very beautiful and quite at the beach it seemed very full of animal life with the dolphins, many gulls and a few pelicans flying over head.
